Nervousness getting to her, Bella impatiently bit down on her bottom lip. This time, harder than usual. Ow! She thought, while shaking her head, her limp brown hair swaying with the movement. Looking a tad bit paranoid, she kept turning her head to different degrees; she didn't know what to expect. She cringed at the sound of her rusting motor, and sighed that she couldn't go more than 50 mp/h in her crimson red pickup truck.
Slowing the pace, she pulled up into the rather dirty parking lot of the Forks high school. Her head tilted down just enough to hide herself, but she could still see where she was driving. Trying to hide from the curious eyes, she pulled into the first open parking space she saw. The kids were all sitting around, talking and laughing loudly. Bella grabbed her tan backpack from the backseat and slowly opened her door. The kids next to her, and from generally all around her, were staring deeply. She heard some of them whisper something to another, and then laugh. Bella swallowed hard, and then returned to her gaze at the floor.
Still under the gazes, Bella turned her head, chocolate brown eyes full of emotions, as she stepped up the school steps. Caught off guard, she felt the weight of her books lift from her arms, and a jab in her side when someone bumped into her. She turned her head wildly to face a rather intelligent, or nerdy looking kid. By the way he was half to the ground, Bella realized she dropped her books. The black-haired kid stood up, handing her books back. Slightly smiling, Bella grabbed them and avoided the stare. "You're Isabella Swan, right?" He continued. "I'm Eric Yorkie. If you have any questions, ask me." Bella threw a sympathetic smile at the common mistake. "Please, just Bella." She sluggishly replied. As they began to walk in to the school, Bella biting on her bottom lip again, she could just make out the sound of a zooming volvo speeding through the parking lot.
